Physiotherapy can be employed to assess, manage and treat musculoskeletal symptoms and injuries, pain, stiffness and weakness. It can also help with injury prevention and rehabilitation. For us at Leap Back Physio, our first aim is to enable our clients to achieve the best levels of optimum physical activity and quality of life. We can assist you with:
- Neck and back pain
- Shoulder injuries
- Elbow, wrist and hand problems
- Hip and groin pain
- Knee injuries
- Sports injuries
- Musculoskeletal screening for athletes
- Ankle and foot injuries
- Rehabilitation programs
- Biomechanical assessments
- Pilates assessments
Our physiotherapists use various hands on pressure techniques along with acupuncture, to relieve muscle spasm and joint stiffness and to strengthen muscles. We also suggest exercises and employ soft tissue massage to relax tight muscles, and different types of taping to alleviate pain. At Leap Back, we also do a postural assessment tailored to your work, home or sporting activity, and guide on ways to improve posture and prevent injuries and chronic pain as a result of bad postures. We recommend a custom palette of strengthening exercises that can be used to correct any muscle imbalances.
Why choose Leap Back Physio?
Two reasons: The experienced team with a combined experience of 35 years, and our commitment to help patients bounce back to their optimum state of physical well-being, at the earliest.
Our founder and director, Amy Walsh, has over 16 years of experience as a practicing physio, apart from being a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and Sports Physiotherapy Australia (SPA). Amy, along with Catherine Barber and Josie Palmer make up the core team, and specialize on Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Acupuncture respectively.
At Leap Back Physio, we choose to have a personalized, hands-on approach for each of our patients, as we believe that care plays an important role in treatment. We often observe that recovery is faster with focused care, and our patients can get back to pursuing the life of their choice much sooner than expected.
Our physiotherapy clinic is conveniently located in Camberwell, to ensure that we’re close if you need to visit us.
